There are many tourists who visit Barcelona every year.
There is a brutal traffic of people and boat rental companies, either from the Port Forum, the Port Olimpic (Catamaran Costa Brava Barcelona) or from the Port Marítim, although with fewer charter companies.
For many years at Bluesail we have been doing boat and catamaran excursions along the beautiful Costa Brava, and it is true that we have many groups that come from Barcelona or surrounding areas just for our star excursion: “The Contraband Route“, spending a day on the beach and eat a paellita.
Why travel from Barcelona?

Why come from Barcelona to the Costa Brava?
The answer is simple and there are several reasons.
First. Because Blanes, with its rock “Sa Palomera” is only 70 km from Barcelona and is the beginning of a beautiful coast, with abrupt rocks, caves and vegetation all the way to the sea. The truth is that the “Costa Brava”, baptized with this name by the poet Ferran Agulló, is a very different coastline from the Maresme…
Second. Why the prices on the southern Costa Brava: Blanes, Lloret de Mar, Tossa de Mar, Sant Feliu de Guixols… They are much cheaper than renting a boat or taking a catamaran excursion than in Barcelona. Accommodation is also much cheaper, be it a private farmhouse, apartment or hotel.
The restaurants and paellas on the beachfront are also much cheaper… in general all services are cheaper here in the “town” than in Barcelona. This is important to take into account.
Third. Since in Blanes, Lloret and Tossa we are not overcrowded with a lot of clients, charter companies and tourists like in Barcelona, we take more time for everything. Providing a personalized service from one to one.
For the nautical activities companies in the area, clients are not a number, but rather they are Juan, Manoli or Laura… and we achieve that by doing boat excursions from Blanes (to touch Barcelona!) everything is much easier, starting with free parking at the port and ending with local cava Ses Vernes, de las Bodegas y viñas de Blanes.
For these reasons and others that we will discover when you arrive, we recommend that you leave Barcelona, take the car or public transport and visit the port of Blanes to spend one of the best days of your life, with your family or friends.
